Deprivation on character

My husbands ex wife is emailing and texting me and him saying he went to court for molesting a child 20 years ago. This is NOT true and he has been in and out of court for 9 years over child custody and this was never mentioned. She then told me she is not worried about him being a child molester she was just mad about money issues. We want to get a letter sent to her stating she needs to stop making these accusations or we will sure her for deprivation of character. We don't want spend hundres of dollars for one letter to scare her! Is it possible to do something cheaper?
