Legal Question in Family Law in California

Determination for where a child lives

I have a 15 year old son who has decided he wants to live with his biological father in California. Our divorce and child custody was in Ventura county california. I am remarried almost 11 years and have raised both my children without my ex since January 1996. My ex abused both me and my son. There is alot to this story, I just need to know since I have 100% Sole Primary Physical Custody can my son make the decision to go and live with him? Do I have to give up my custody or will the Courts make me? I feel that this will be detrimental to my son if he lives with my ex people like this do not change. He is also telling my son that he can make his decision on where he wants to live because he is 15 years old, and if I do not agree to is he will tke me back to court in California I now live in Tennessee with the children.

Re: Determination for where a child lives

You should contact an attorney in Tennessee regarding registering the California custody order. Interstate custody matters are complex. You will need the help of an attorney in this matter.
