Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hello there. I have a Dilemma on my hands and i can't seem to figure it out. my friends step-father wishes to file a restraining order on me. Reason being, im 19 and shes 14. Of course there is room for concern. I can assure you there is nothing illegal going on. does he have any legal grounds to do so if there is no harrasment, sexual activity, or anything along those lines happening?

Technically unless you're a violent threat then no he can't. Although I have seen a civil case filed by a mother of a 15 yr girl get a civil RO because the accused was 23 yrs old and he was sending explicit texts to her. That was the entire allegation and the girl didn't care and could tell she was coerced to even be there by her mother.

It didn't help that he didn't show up to the hearing either.

I think that it was despicable that the guy was making a move on a 15 yr old but it didn't fit in the law. It goes to show that with restraining orders you just never know.
