dispute with charges

my attorney is threatening to turn my unpaid balance to collections. I'm trying to make an agreement to monthly payments of $100. I also do not agree to the total bill but they will not respond. I did alot of the preperations and I wrote a lot of the papers and his time charged seems really high. I have perfect credit but can not afford more than $100 a month- don't want tit sent to collections and don't agree on total. What do I do?

negotiate with the attorney. the state bar can help with the fee disputes, but that can't make your attorney take monthly payments.
