Dissolution of Marriage
Why do you have to wait 6 months? Can you get married before the 6 months? is it valid or will it be annuled?

Why do you have to wait six months? Got me, you will have to ask your congressman that one. Attorneys don't make the law, they just have it slung at them.
You cannot legally get married before the 6 months is up. This does not necessarily mean such a marriage will be invalid, but it can be invalidated by the innocent party who did not know about the divorce not being final.
