Divide Christmas Vacation Equally?

If School lets out for Christmas break on Friday Dec. 21st and Returns Monday Jan 7th, Is the halfway date Sat Dec 29th or Sunday Dec 30th?

Count the hours and divide them by half. Or better yet, just ask the other parent which day works best for him or her.
