Legal Question in Family Law in California

division of house

We have been married for more than 4 years and we want to do an uncontested divorce. He doesn't want any lawyers involved. He agreed to let me keep the house but I have to give him his half. How do I do that legally and safely without risking losing money?

Re: division of house

simply put, you should include this provision on the dissolution agreement to be filed with the court. your best option would be to have a neutral attorney affordably take care of this paperwork on both of your behalf. its a very simple, straightforward process an attorney can handle very quickly and affordably for both of you and at a very reasonable fee, especially if the divorce is uncontested. the attorney would have no other involvement with your situtation apart from filing the necessary documents to properly effectuate your divorce without hassles or errors being made accidentally. if you would like further assistance, contact us today.
