Legal Question in Family Law in California

divoce procedure

We,ve been seperated & living apart for 8yrs.I served him by mail and he didn't respond.Since then I haven't been unable to locate him to have him served again.What actions do I take now?THANK YOU

You only need to serve him once with the summons, unless there is a problem with your original service or petitiion. If you need to serve him the declaration of disclosure you can serve him by first class mail at his last known address. If there are other problems you may consult the facilitators office, if your court has one, or retain an attorney to resolve any problems. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
