Legal Question in Family Law in California
divorce agreement
hi!! i signed a divorce agreement
stating that i get alimony until my
daughter is 18 years old. i was
married for 14 years and 4 months.
should i have recieved alimony for
the rest of my life and if so, can i
refile a new request and if so, do i
need a lawyer? i now make half of
what i made at the signing and my
ex makes about double. we said we
would re visit the issue if our financial
situation changes, but he is not
willing anymore. this was 2002. we
didn't use any lawyers back then,
just a legal clinic. thank you, irene

Re: divorce agreement
You need to take the documents from your divorce to an attorney and discuss the matter. only by reviewing these documents can an attorney give you an opinion about your options.
