Legal Question in Family Law in California
I am going thru divorce and even though I bought my home years before married i took out a home equity loan and her name was put in a deed of trust even though the loan is solely in my name as is the first mortgage. How does this affect keeping my home after divorce? I am in california.

This is a complicated question deserving the attention of an experienced family law attorney in an office consultation. With that being said, it sounds as if you may have some strong argument to make that you were merely trying to refinance your separate property when you put her name on the deed.
