Legal Question in Family Law in California

divorce

Can I have my CA divorce cancelled or transfered to TX where I will be an official resident as of Aug 28th? My wife filed for divorce when we lived in CA in Sept 2006. She has not pressed to close case or ask for a court date since that time. She is receiving spousal support from court order in Nov 2006. She moved out of home in Oct 2006 and established residence in AL. I moved to TX and established residence here an will live in my home 6 months as of Aug 28th. There are no children envolved in this case either. CA has no more interest in this case outside of the lawyers. My current CA lawyer says I cannot ask for a transfer or cancelation and I don't trust his statement. Please help

Your current lawyer is right. The case cannot be moved to Texas. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
