Legal Question in Family Law in California

In my divorce case, filed march 2007, I am the respondent, and I have not been served with the divorce papers. I have gone to court over child custody, and the petitioner, my ex, has not gone forward with the case. What can I to do (in Los Angeles County Courts) as the respondent to get this finished?

I'm not following your question. If you haven't been served with papers, how did you wind up in court on the custody issue? How did you know a petition has been filed? Have you never seen a copy of the petition? Have you never filed a response? Or do you mean you have never been served with a divorce judgment? Please clarify exactly what has and has not been done and served, and I or one of the other attorneys here will be happy to help you.
