Divorce / Child Custody

Can two US citizens (residing in California) take divorce (mutual consent) in India and use the same verdict (settlement/child custody) etc. here in California to get the divorce.

If an indian court would allow you to divorce there then you probably could. However there may be problems with their enforcement, i dont see how an indian court can have jurisdiction over us property rights. Perhaps if all parties agree to that jurisdiction.
