Legal Question in Family Law in California

divorce and child custody

My husband wants half custody to avoid paying child support. I'd rather accept no money than split my child in half. What can I do? Also, I can't afford to move out with my two children and I can't afford to pay the mortgage on my home without my husbands income. How can I stay in my home?

Re: divorce and child custody

You should try to negotiate with him that you would not be seeking child support, see if he would agree to give up on custody.

As always please consult an attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck!
