Legal Question in Family Law in California

I need a divorce decree!

I was married in CA 15 years ago, don't know if I'm divorced or not, live in Rhode Island and want to remarry, need a divorce decree, how can I find out if I was divorced, and if I wasn't what do I need to do to get a decree! I do not know where my ex lives, no idea!

your question doesnt make sense. how could you not know if a divorce was filed?
