My divorce was on a default the other parent was ordered to pay child but he say under family code section4500-4508 he doesnt have to pay fe4504, but i was reading 4505 it says under default a court may require him to pay even if i already get ssi payments for our children so my question is under 4505 of the family code for cailfornia does the parent have to pay a court ordered child support order?

Until the order is Set Aside, the order is enforceable as it stands and it is a valid order.

He has to pay according to the order no matter what the law says. If he thinks the order is wrong under the law, he has to file in court to change it.
