Divorce Degree Settlement

How can a divorce decreee settlement executed in Nevada in May 2000 be inforced when the ex-spouse is now remarried and living in Pasadena, CA.?

If you still live in Nevada then you can bring the motion to enforce the terms of the Decree in Nevada and mail it to him in California at his present address. His remarriage and relocation to California doesn't affect Nevada ability to enforce the Decree as long as you still live in Nevada.

It depends on what issues you want enforced. If it is child or spousal support those orders are to be enforced accross state lines, by wage assignment. If it is property issues, then you may need to register the order in California and then enforce the order here. Pat McCrary
