I just filed for divorce, now that I've filed can I open my own checking account? So I can put my paychecks in my own account. Also, IF my husband is staying drunk everyday can I get him out of the house?

After you file for divorce your income becomes your separate property and you can put it into a bank account in your name alone. In regard to removing husband from the house, the answer would depend upon whether there are children and if domestic violence is involved. You should consult with an attorney regarding the facts of your case.
