I have filed for divorce and had to have the papers amended. I submitted the amended paper more than 7 months ago. What is my next step? Do I automatically get the decree or do I have to go to the court to obtain a copy?

Nothing happens automatically. You will have to proceed with the case. Your next step will depend upon the stage of the proceedings now.
