Legal Question in Family Law in California

Divorce filing

Mu husband is a legal resident of Pittsbugh PA and I am a legal resident of CA. We have been living separate for 4 years and I am unsure as to what state to file for an uncontested divorce?

Since this would be an uncontested divorce, do I have to have both signatures or can I file and proceed with this divorce on my own?

You would file in California, as you are a resident of California. You would need his signature if you qualify for a Summary Dissolution (married less than 5 years, no children, limited assets). You would not need his signature for a regular dissolution.

I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
