can a divorce be finalized before there is a custody and property agreement

i want my divorce final, however, my ex is dragging things out...can the divorce be finalized before there is a custody and property agreement?

You can file a motion to bifurcate (separate) the issue of the status of the marriage from the other

issues. The motions are routinely granted, although here is San Diego County there are several

It is possible to bifurcate the case. That is dissolve the marriage while the other issues are determined at a later time.
