Legal Question in Family Law in California
My divorce was finalized in San Diego over 7 years ago. I live in Los Angeles (with my child). I need to file an ex parte as my ex is not responding to me regarding a medical situation with our child. Do I need to file in San Diego or can I file it in Los Angeles?

You have to file in San Diego. You probably should petition to have the case transferred to LA at the same time, but until a case is transferred to a new county after a child’s principal residence changes, jurisdiction remains in the old county.
