Legal Question in Family Law in California
Divorce not granted today
I moved out 7/2006(CA)& my wife filed for divorce, 10/2006. My wife filed a 'default' back in 7/2006. The first hearing for support gave my daughter $370 and my wife's support of $5 a month. My wife spent $25k within a couple of months on shopping and trips but told the judge she used it to pay bills, a lie. Being that my wife drinks excessively and has fits in the house, spends my daughter's working money and more. My daughter (16) moved in with me in (WA) with a note from my wife granting. Today was our hearing for the divorce, via phone. The judge didn't grant the divorce asking for us to reconsider and for me to come to CA and talk with her to she if we can make it up and to file the default, which I do not understand what that it. I have spent all I can on this. My wife hates to work and loves to go to the bar every night screams with anger over anything that doesn't go her way. I have no desire to be with my ex-wife. This marriage was over a very long time ago and my daughter doesn't want to ever go back. I need the legal grant. How do I get this divorce granted?

It is impossible to answer your question without a complete review of the file. I would suggest that you retain an attorney, you have some very important issues to deal with. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
