Legal Question in Family Law in California

divorce?

Can my husband cut everything off (electricity, phones,..), take the car I drive and take all the money from joined account, because he wants the end of the relationship? He said attorney adviced that to him. I don't work, I have no money. Even though I have been looking for a job last few days, there is no way somebody can contact me because the phones don't work. Is this legal? Can he do this?

Thank you

Re: divorce?

It is highly unlikely that any competeny atorney would give advice to any client to do as you have advised your spouse has done. Obviously, your spouse has an attorney and you have very little chance to defend your rights without the assistance of counsel. I very strongly advise that you retain an attorney immediately.
