Legal Question in Family Law in California

I want to get a divorce but

I have no idea where this person is exactly,she is in the state of new mexico and i'm in california is it still possible to file for divorce without a hassle

Yes it is possible to get a divorce. It would require a little ingenuity to serve her, with a people records search and if all else fails you can serve her by publication in a news paper.
