Legal Question in Family Law in California
My divorce judgent has not been filed yet but my quadros are done. We have already signed a stipulation on dividing the retirement accounts. Can I file the quadros without filing the judgement. We are at one sticking point on it.

No. But if you haven't already, you should join the retirement plans as parties to the divorce. You also have the right to temporary QDRO's which will freeze the assets pending the divorce. Many retirement plans freeze the assets anyway upon being joined, you should find out what the policy is of each retirement plan.
