Legal Question in Family Law in California

divorce law

My husband filed for divorce then had second thoughts, I asked him for an extention of time to respond to his petition. He sent his attorney and myself an e-mail stating he wished to extend me 30 days. Is that considered legal or binding in any way? Could there already be a court date pending with out it being announced to me in some form? Is there any way he could take the children away from me without a court ruleing of any kind? What do I need to get from him or his attorney if he wishes to stop the divorce proceedings? Do I needs legal representation in the meantime? Do I need an attorney to get a temporary order of support?

You have a number of questions that would be very difficult to answer over the internet. You should consult an attorney to discuss the facts of your case and the options available to you.
