Re: Divorce VS. Legal seperation

With a legal separation you are still married, but are legally living apart.

With a divorce the marriage is dissolved and the parties are single and can legally get married.

A legal separation does everything that a divorce does, but does not restore the parties to the status of single persons. They remain legally married, but their community and separate property assets and debts have been allocated, parenting plans in place and support rights determined.

Good luck to you.
