Legal Question in Family Law in California

Divorce paperwork

I have printed a set of complete ( I think) divorse poapers from Riverside County Courts. I am unsure what needs to be sent to the other party, beside the petition.

Can you assist? I do not have money to hire an attorney for this.

Contact the court and ask about the family law clinic you should be able to get the help you need there. Serving the propert papers on your spouse is only the first step in the process. The petition for dissolution, a summons and the preliminary declaration of property should be served on your spouse. This merely starts the process there are several additional steps that must be taken to finish the process. The particular step depends upon what your spouse does.
