do it yourself divorce with property

i am seeking a divorce, the attorney i hired a year ago is has done absolutly nothing. i am considering a do it yourself lawshop, there are no children together, only my spouses 401k plan, i cannot afford to pay another attorney, would this be wise for my particular case?

if the divorce is uncontested and you two agree on everything, fire the lawyer and get a do it yourself book from www.nolo.com. if it is more complicated than that, fire the lawyer and hire someone who will work out a payment schedule for you.
