Legal Question in Family Law in California

Divorce without respontants signature

I have filed for divorce, my husband has avoided me. He has moved to the state of California. I need to be able to find out how I can file with out his signture. I have no idea where he lives, his family won' tell me. I have tried to serve him through the mail, he doest pick up the mail from the Post Office. The Child Support Services havent been able to locate him for Child Support. At this point I dont know what to do. I can't afford an attorney. It's been since over 3 yrs since I filed. The case is still open. Please tell me what I should do, I need to file at almost no cost because I can't afford legal presentation...Thank you-

You need to serve him with process to get the divorce completed. To do this you can publish the notice in the local paper. This can be expensive the cost of publication is probably several hundred dollars. You will have to get an order from the court allowing you to service by publication. Check with the local family court and ask about the family law clinic and make an appointment for help. There is no charge for this service.
