Divorce

I seperated from my husband a year & a half ago. Someone told me as I was preparing forms to file for divorce to check if he has already filed and if we are already divorced. How do I find this out w/out speaking to him directly?

You can go on to the Court web site in the area where he lives. Most sites provide a way to look at what cases he has filed. It should show up there.

Most courts have case information online at their court website. Do a google search (or yahoo, or whatever search engine you prefer) and look up the court, such as "Orange County Superior Court."

Then, look for a link to look up case information. You should look under both names.
