Divorce settlements

I'm getting divorced and want to know what rights i have to the house i live in. the house is in my husbands name only. I've lived there with him for 9 years, married for 5. Am i entitled to any of the equity in the house??

Yes you would generally be entitled to your community share of it. Property division is complicated and usually requires the assistance of an attorney.

If your husband paid any of the mortgage using community funds and the house has increased in value during the marriage, then you may be entitled to part of that increase.
