Legal Question in Family Law in California

Divorce

I have a divorce situation with children. My wife is bipolar and quite hostile toward my daughter and I. Neither my wife or I have yet left the home. Will a Legal Separation protect my rights with respect to custody? Should I leave only if I have a Legal Separation in place? We are concerned about safety and abuse.

Re: Divorce

I would suggest that you contact an attorney who can go over all of the facts with you and plan for the filing and the custody issues. Good advice cannot be given with only some of the facts and there are too many facts to deal with unless you have a face to face meeting or at least a telephone consultation. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
