Legal Question in Family Law in California

divorce taking too long

My finace filed separation papers in March of 2006. His extranged wife has since been served with divorce papers in Jan 2007 ans she has yet to sign the papers. She also changed attorneys during the past month. How can we force the dissolution of marriage and about how long is that process?

If your fiance has an attorney, he/she can ask the court to schedule a hearing ASAP. This will put pressure on the wife.
