Legal Question in Family Law in California

Divorce Trouble

My husband signed an interspousal transfer deed. 95% of the downpayment came from the property I owned before marriage. 5% came from my husband. Now, he wants to challenge the interspousal transfer deed because we are now going through a divorce and he wants to take the house. What legal rights do I have? My husband and I separated in April 2006. I filed for divorce in December 2006. He has not contributed anything towards the monthly payments or on the up keep of the property.

Probably you are in good shape and the house will be yours, however, there are many problems that may come out in the facts. You really need a family law attorney who can assist and advise you on this. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
