Divorce from U.K.

I am a British citizen married to an American citizen for 10 years. I am now living back in U.K. and he in Iowa. Married in California, separated for 3 years now wish to divorce. He has not proceeded with fliing in U.S. and I wish to go ahead so how can I file for divorce from the U.K?
