Legal Question in Family Law in California
Divorce when unable to locate spouse
What steps need to be taken to obtain a divorce when you have not seen nor spoken to the spouse for 11 years? Additionally, the location of the other spouse is not known and there are no living family members of the spouse. Please advise. Thank you.

No problem, you can "serve" him notice by publication in a newspaper. This method takes a little more time and money than personal service, but it will do the job. So long as you have been in the county where you file for three months, you can get a divorce anywhere.
