Legal Question in Family Law in California

Usually, when does a divorce be over with

Hi,

I've been going through a divorce for almost 3 years now and for some reason, it isn't ending. There's no children involved, I've already paid her $100,000 for half of the equity of the house, and I'm currently unemployed. When will this divorce end? How long does a divorce in California take? Can I ask for it to be over?

There is no way to tell you how long it takes for a divorce. There are two many factors to be considered in the process to give a response without reviewing the documents in the case. The only time limit is that the marriage cannot be dissolved in less than 6 months after the respondent is served with the summons and complaint or files an answer.
