Divorce/Child Custody

Have been seperated from wife for awhile, in new serious relationship, started divorce proceedings. Can my new relationship in anyway adversly affect my ability to seek 50/50 custody of my children?

The affect of your new relationship on custody will depend upon the background of the new person. If this person has a criminal history, especially for sex or violent crimes, you could be prohibited from having custody. The relationship of the new person with your children will also be a factor.
