Legal Question in Family Law in California

My divorced daughter has suddenly cut off communication and visitation with my 3 grandchildren. I have had frequent contact with them since 1997. I have contacted her and saved all the e mails she sent denying me seeing them. What recourse do I have? I live in California

Grandparents do have rights of visitation in some instances if they have an especially strong rleationship with the grandchildren. You should consult a local attorney in your county to see if you may qualify for grandparents visitation. It is challenging because she is the parent, but if the children are bonded to you, and it would be in their best interest, you may be able to win visitation rights.

or self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.

As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
