Legal Question in Family Law in California
Not divorced yet, wife not allowing me to see kids
My friend was married in Texas 7 years ago. Now, his wife and him live in Los Angeles. They split up 6 months ago, but have not got divorced because he cannot afford an attorney. He has been paying her $450.00 every two weeks for their 3 daughters. He usually has his girls 3-4 days out of the week or more. Recently, his wife stopped allowing him to see or even talk to them because she wants more money. Is there anything he can do to get her to let him see them without having to give her more money or get an attorney?

not without a court order. BTW, if there is no court order re child support he doesnt have to give her anything.

I would suggest saving that $450.00 payment and getting an attorney. Child custody and support issues are not something you want to do on your own.
