Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex and I have been divorced for over 6 years. She never legally took my last name when we were married but has recently used my last name to sign some documents. Is this legal and what can I do to stop her from using my name?

It's legal as long as its not motivated by fraud or to intentionally deceive people. Do you think she's doing that? You should notify the other party to the contract of the divorce.

I agree with Mr. Kubler. She can call herself the Dalai Lama if she wants. It's only a problem if she starts using his credit card.

If you think fraud is involved (Is she trying to make you responsible for her bills?) you may contact the police department.
