I am divorcing my husband after 24 years, i'm seeking medical, spousal, ret. pay and child support for disalbed adult child. I'm also trying to protect my adult disabled child from his girlfriends sex offender son in my childs presence. How do I protect my life and my child

The simple answer, although not simple at all, is that you need to file for divorce along with the Order to Show Cause (O.S.C.) for all the above. Due to your child being disabled and adult, I would highly suggest that you need to find a local family law attorney.

The first answer is that you need an attorney. The correct answer is many-fold. To start you should file a motion with the court to determine that your adult child is a dependent and for support for that adult child. That motion would include a request for spousal support and for attorney's fees. You may need to bring a motion for guardianship of your adult dependent child, depending upon many factor.
