Legal Question in Family Law in California

DNA testing and child support

Girlfriend got pregnant and we got married. Divorced after 3 years. Ex-wife took son and disappeared for many years. Child support owed $250/month but not paid because ex-wife couldn't be found. She has now reappeared and wants back child support payments totalling over $60k. Not sure if child was mine.

Question: Would DNA testing relieve my responsibility to pay back payments if test shows he is not my son?

Re: DNA testing and child support

It is unlikely that you will be able to force her into a dna test. Too much time has passed since the child was born. Further you took the child into your home and held the child out as your child.
