Legal Question in Family Law in California

DNA testing

My husband would like to adopt our 6 year old daughter. If we take a DNA test to establish the man listed on the birth certificate is not her biological father do I have to name who the biological father is and have him tested also before we can carry on with the adoption?

Re: DNA testing

You have to notify the known biological father. If you don't know who he is, then you can probably proceed without giving notice.
