Domestic Violence, Physical & Emotional trauma in the custodial parent household
I am the father of 2 minor children from an unmarried relationship.I currently have full custody of my children based on an emergency modification of custody being requested due to domestic violence in the mother's household, neglect and continued emotional and physical abuse. I have heard that the courts are ordering domestic violence classes (52wks) to that household. Is this true?

It is impossible to say whether or not the court ordered domestic violence counseling. It depends on the actual charges that resulted in the conviction. However, domestic couneling now is 52 weeks in length. In Santa Clara County any type of battery or assualt that involves domestic relationships, will result in the court ordering the domestic counseling course, which is 52 weeks.
