i am in a domestic violence situation and i am 7 months pregnant and wanting to go into a maternity home which doesnt allow my 3 year old daughter to come. so i want to leave her with my husband whom i am separating from for 2 months until i get housing. does he have the right to get full custody of her if i do that?

If he is beating you up, he likely will also hit her. Do either of you have parents that could take care of her? Giving him temporary custody will not result in a permanent situation but it will not help you when the court makes the decision.

You need to contact a battered womens shelter or agency and find a safe place for you, your daughter, and your baby.
