Legal Question in Family Law in California

Drivers licence reinstatement

My license is being withheld for past due child support in another county. What papers must I file to get my license reinstated. And do I have to file the papers in the county in which the order was made?

Re: Drivers licence reinstatement

Contact the DA in the county in which the support is owed. Arrange a payment plan for the past due support, something that you can pay each month, and offer to make those payments. Condition your payments on an agreement that the DA will notify the DMV that your driver's license should be released to you. Only the DA can issue the order for the DMV to release your driver's license.
