Legal Question in Family Law in California

drug offender getting visitation

I served my exgirlfriend with osc papers she then reponded with only wanting me to have supervised visitation. she than used my previous drug offense that I served under house arrest in her home while we were together against me saying that it would be unsafe for me to have unsupervised visitation.I have a son from a previous relationship and I raise him on my own.She is trying to make me look like an unfit parent but the only fact she has is that im a registered drug offender. Will the judge give her what she wants.the reason they let me go on home arrest is because of my son the officer knew that he would be safe with me.Do I just need to come with facts.

Re: drug offender getting visitation

The drug conviction will hurt your case but alone is not sufficient to require supervised visits. She will probably be unsuccessful, but it is hard to judge with only limited facts and one side of the story. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
